You do a little drinking, maybe get to thinking, you wish you were taking. taking a chance. With that girl. (But there's more in the world)
You know ya got one at home she's a-waitin' by the phone. Leave them girls alone, boy. You know, they ain't never gonna do. (Compared to you)
You know they second class, they just can't pass. Oh baby, come on give me some... love. (Yea mmm hmm)
Cause you, you make the sunrise,
And you, well ya make the moonshine
And you, you can't get away from me...Cause I'm coming on home to you, and ya just don't know what you're getting into.
I said hey hey baby, I ain't seen ya lately. I'm coming home and I've been missin you greatly. I hope that you've been true. (I don't know what I'd do)
Yea I'm glad you're mine, you're one of a kind. I wouldn't trade you for Dolly in her prime, you know that ain't no lie. (She just ain't my size)
Because you make me jump like I just hit a bump, when I get home you and me are gonna...cook. (And you can let the dogs look)
Cause you, you make the sunrise,
And you, well ya make the moonshine
And you, you can't get away from me...Cause I'm coming on home to you, and ya just don't know what you're getting into.
This is a wonderful album. It is personal, senitive, and caring. I love to here Sturgill sing, and wish had found him earlier. I thsnk wnku for playing local artists. I lived in Jackson Ky. And know how sad the drugs have made so many hometowns. Keep singing you are great. carolfaulkner
The best I've heard from Steve Earle in a while. The songs have a subtler, earthier tone, tastefully rendered in authentic sounding country/blues/bluegrass stylings. 'J.T' reminds of earlier records like 'Feel Alright' or 'Train a Comin'.
Deep grief, love and compassion is felt on the final track, the only composition from Steve, seemingly written for his son. The rest, composed by JT, do confirm what a great songwriter he really was. tideracer
A slow drip of Tropicália-infused psychedelia from New Orleans rock outfit Blue Basin: balmy one moment, aggressive the next. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 22, 2022
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
